I started my career with all things digital creative at age 12, when I made my first Geocities site in my parents’ suburban Minnesota basement. If I had to RFP that site today, its requirements would be “a neon moving GIF background with secondary focus on Harry Potter and Blink 182 content.”
A childhood spent on the internet and behind a camera led to my time at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. There, I enjoyed a hybridized curriculum that allowed me to learn and practice visual design and fine arts as well marketing and business practices. After moving to Los Angeles at the tender age of 22, I’ve enjoyed an fulfilling and varied career in entertainment marketing. Between my studio and agency experience, I’ve worked with nearly every major LA-based studio, as well as between the theatrical, TV, and music industries.
I work because I enjoy it. I love the feeling of having a problem and solving it, especially when I know more than I did at the beginning. I especially love working in entertainment because, let’s face it, entertainment makes people happy. And we all want to be happy.
